Museum of The The Museum of the Future is a truly unique project. Advenser was tasked with detailing rebar elements using Tekla Structures and extracting the required deliverables, including drawings, Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), IFC files, and Tekla BIM site models. These were essential to facilitate the construction of the ring beam and internal beams. The “ovoid” shape of the ring beam posed significant challenges for rebar detailing using traditional 2D software. Consequently, the client opted for 3D modeling, which also helped detect clashes prior to installation. The project involved the highly complex task of modeling a large number of curved rebars, made even more demanding by tight schedules. In total, 861 tons of rebar were detailed for the project.Project

The high school project involved structures that comprised of heavy sloped truss members, auditorium, catwalk structure, gymnasium, class rooms, parking garage and eight stair towers. The scope of work required Advenser to create 3D structural steel model including all main, embed and miscellaneous steel elements using Tekla Structures; to extract all drawings and reports to facilitate the construction of steel structure. Advenser created models and drawings as per AISC, AWS & OSHA standards based on structural and architectural design drawings. The project deliverables included erection drawings, Fabrication drawings and single part drawings. Advenser also generated reports – ABM, B.O.M, NC file, KISS file, Bolt list, Stud list & dxf.

Steel team was assigned with both main steel and miscellaneous steel detailing for the project, which involved a complex and heavy structure. The design featured massive beams of varying profiles, each connecting to a central column in four directions with moment connections. This posed a significant challenge, as the bolted connections often led to bolt clashes due to the varying beam depths. Our team worked diligently to resolve these clashes, ensuring erection feasibility on-site. Additionally, we collaborated closely with structural engineers and Architect and the EOR to convey the challenges and secure their understanding and approval to proceed effectively.Advenser also provided design calculations, with the design team delivering excellent results in this regard. Our scope of work included developing a detailed 3D structural steel model using Tekla Structures, incorporating all primary and miscellaneous steel elements. Comprehensive drawings and reports were generated to support the construction of the steel structure, adhering to AISC, AWS, and OSHA standards. Deliverables encompassed erection drawings, fabrication drawings, and single-part drawings, along with Tekla-generated reports such as ABM, BOM, NC files, KISS files, bolt lists, stud lists, and DXF files to facilitate seamless construction workflows.

The project encompassed a comprehensive scope of work, including the detailing of stairs, railings, mezzanine framing, storefront structures, canopies, feature columns, elevator details, coffee shop elements, roof framing for Building B, BBQ canopies, privacy and parking screens, gates, fences, mechanical screens, HVAC supports, and more. The development spanned Buildings A, B, and C, each comprising 44 floors, with Building A featuring a dedicated commercial area. Our primary responsibility involved the intricate detailing of the stair structures and railings, a complex task given the continuous elevation from two lower levels to the 42nd floor. Additionally, the skewed roof structure of Building B presented unique challenges, requiring precise connections aligned with client specifications. Frequent design changes during the submission process and tight deadlines further added to the complexity of the project. A critical aspect of the deliverables was producing drawings with dimensions in both metric (mm) and imperial (feet and inches) units to accommodate fabrication in China and subsequent shipping to Hawaii.
Advenser’s role included developing a detailed 3D structural steel model using Tekla Structures, incorporating both primary and miscellaneous steel components. From this model, the team generated comprehensive erection, fabrication, and single-part drawings, along with Tekla-generated reports such as ABM, BOM, NC files, KISS files, bolt lists, stud lists, and DXF files. These deliverables were designed to streamline the construction process and adhered to AISC, AWS, and OSHA standards, ensuring precision and compliance.
