Our scope of services
This project involved the addition of a 71,150 sq. ft. second annex to Coastal Carolina’s current Science Building which was constructed in 1980. The proposed annex consists of an estimated 40 faculty offices, 8 teaching labs, 460 seat classrooms, 245 seat classrooms, and one Ecology teaching lab and 6 small labs for Ecology research.
The scope of work for Advenser in the project was the modeling and coordination of MEP services, including HVAC and plumbing, over the total area. The modeling was accomplished using Revit, whereas coordination and clash detection were carried out using Navisworks Manage as well as Revit. Inputs received for the project included design drawings in CAD and PDF. 3D models for all MEP elements were developed from the design drawings for coordination, which was then coordinated with the Architectural and structural 3D models.
