Senior Engineer– Rebar Detailing

Profile Summary

We are looking for an experienced  Senior Engineer – Rebar Detailing to lead our rebar detailing team and oversee the successful execution of structural detailing projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in AutoCAD and rebar detailing, with the ability to independently manage complex projects, review technical deliverables, and ensure high-quality outputs. This role requires excellent leadership, client coordination, and problem-solving skills. Experience in US-based rebar detailing projects is highly preferred, while proficiency in Tekla Structures or Autodesk Revit will be considered an added advantage. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the rebar detailing team to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality project deliverables. 
• Prepare project quotations and support project planning activities. 
• Prepare, review, and perform quality checks on rebar placement drawings based on design and contract documents. 
• Generate, review, and verify Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for accuracy and compliance. 
• Review structural and contract drawings, identify discrepancies, and prepare RFIs (Requests for Information) for design clarifications.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal project teams to ensure seamless project execution. 
• Monitor project progress, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to junior engineers and detailers. 
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, applicable codes, industry standards, and company quality procedures. 
• Drive continuous improvement in detailing processes, productivity, and quality. 

Skills and Requirements

• Extensive experience in rebar detailing for reinforced concrete structures. 
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and rebar detailing workflows. 
• Experience in preparing and reviewing rebar placement drawings and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS). 
• Sound understanding of structural and construction drawings, reinforcement detailing practices, and relevant industry standards. 
• Proven ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and manage project deliverables. 
• Strong client communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. 
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. 
• Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards. 
• Experience working on US-based rebar detailing projects is highly preferred. 
• Working knowledge of Tekla Structures or Autodesk Revit will be an added advantage.
• Diploma/B.Tech in Civil Engineering
