Junior Engineer– Rebar Detailing

Profile Summary

We are looking for a  Junior Engineer – Rebar Detailing to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in AutoCAD and an interest or experience in rebar detailing for reinforced concrete structures. This role involves preparing accurate rebar placement drawings, reviewing contract drawings, raising RFIs (Requests for Information), and developing Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) in accordance with project specifications. Experience working on US rebar detailing projects will be an added advantage.  The role requires close collaboration with detailers, engineers, and project managers to maintain quality, accuracy, and project schedules. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare rebar placement drawings based on structural contract and design drawings.   
• Perform rebar detailing using AutoCAD while ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Review contract drawings to identify discrepancies and missing information. 
• Prepare and submit RFIs (Requests for Information) for design clarifications. 
• Create accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for fabrication and construction. 
• Coordinate with senior engineers and project teams to resolve detailing-related issues. 
• Ensure all drawings and deliverables are completed within project timelines while maintaining quality and accuracy. 
• Follow company procedures, client requirements, and applicable industry standards. 

Skills and Requirements

• Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of rebar detailing concepts and reinforced concrete construction. 
• Ability to read and interpret structural and construction drawings. 
• Understanding of Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and rebar placement drawings. 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. 
• Good communication and teamwork abilities. 
• Experience in rebar detailing is preferred. 
• Experience working on US rebar detailing projects will be an added advantage. 
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a collaborative engineering environment.
• Diploma/B.Tech in Civil Engineering
