Introduction

This 24-story hotel building situated in Sri Lanka has a capacity of 180 guestrooms with 36 square meters for standard rooms to 70 square meters for suites. It has facilities which include all-day dining venue, rooftop bar and nightclub, fitness center, spa and pool.

Our scope of work

The scope of work required Advenser to deliver the Architectural BIM model, shop drawings, and Procurement details. The BIM model consists of furniture, sanitary and plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, floors and wall tiles, stairs and lifts, walls, columns, beams, and their finishes, along with their manufacturing specifications.
The Advenser team extracted shop drawing and procurement list from the BIM model. The shop drawing consists of millwork details inbuilt furniture’s (T.V consoles, wardrobes, vanity, reception table and bar units), wall setting out drawing, typical fixing drawings, tile and furniture layouts, finishes and furniture locating elevations. Procurement details of all furniture’s, tiles and lights were also included in deliverables.

Business Model Adopted

Movenpick City Hotel is an ongoing design-build project that started in October 2014 for which we performed Procurement BIM services, engaging 8 resources in an hourly billing business model.
