Profile Overview:

ADVENSER is looking for a Business Development Manager (Engineering Services, BIM, VDC, CAD) for its North American operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in selling professional services in the Architectural Engineering and Construction segment of the industry with a good knowledge of virtual construction trends. He/she is expected to build strong relationships with clients; work with our teams located in different parts of the world and spot new opportunities for revenue spearheading the growth of Advenser in the region.

The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute strategies. 

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers regularly to understand their business needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Monitor client activities to create recommendations and identify and/or develop new opportunities.
  • Share client feedback and collaborate with internal cross-functional teams in the development of appropriate products and services.
  • Research existing business accounts, identify key players and garner interest in companies’ products and services.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Generate qualified leads by phone and email and schedule meetings with targeted accounts.
  • Consult clients on best practices and new opportunities for Advenser.
  • Achieve targets for each business unit of the company.
  • Responsible for maintaining and growing existing relationships, as well as developing and cultivating new relationships.
  • Maintain CRM database of all business development activities.
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Business development experience in a B2B environment.
  • 3 plus years of professional work experience in sales engineering is a plus.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of selling professional services in the architectural engineering and construction industry.
  • Familiarity with software like AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Tekla.
  • Ability to understand drawings, specifications, building codes, and other technical specifications.
  • Interpret and manage Virtual Design Construction (VDC) contractual obligations and responsibilities.
  • Understanding estimates, cash flow, terms and conditions in project negotiation.
  • Knowledge of industrial insurance practices.
  • A proven self-starter with positive energy and a dedicated work ethic.
  • Communication and negotiation skills.
  • Should be a People person. Have a knack for making business connections and establishing relationships.
  • Proficiency in MS office and CRM software, Image editing tool
  • Effectively identifies client needs to configure solutions that address client requirements and deliver value.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields
