About the Project:
Nucor was upgrading their alloy additive batch-making process to a new automated system; this was done to help decrease the time it takes to make material grade changes and increase their overall throughput. To accomplish this, a fully automated alloy system was designed in which Advenser came in to provide support for detailing two alloy towers of the project.

Proficiency in creating customized templates and reports in Tekla Structures.
Providing training and technical support to junior detailers and other team members.
Our scope of work
Advenser detailed and drafted the following components:
- Alloy Tower-1 Platform framing
- Alloy Tower-2 Platform framing
- Cage ladders
- Mezzanine rail system
- 4 Stair systems with rails and treads
- Diamond plate floor panels
Challenge
As the design of the new two-story structural towers was already in progress, there was the possibility of clashes arising with the existing structure, that could lead to production delays; as we had to deliver the IFC drawings within a limited timeframe, it was imperative that we coordinated with meticulous attention to avoid such clashes.
Solution
Our detailing team, along with the design team, worked together to resolve the connection issues and provide support. Although the project was relatively small, we had to allocate additional resources to complete both towers within the allotted time. Despite these obstacles, we successfully completed all outputs for two modular picks, each weighing over 30,000 lbs. We handed over the drawing files along with all the machine files, as committed.

Our Value Addition
Taking over the detailing aspects of a project that already had ongoing designs is more difficult than one might expect, as clashes and conflicts in connections can rise from this. Our experienced modelers, with their keen attention to detail, helped rectify existing clashes and prevented possible ones in the detailing process. Finally, our coordinators assigned additional personnel to the task, to ensure that it was completed on time. All of this led to our client saving both time and money, as there were no production delays.
